Lotus Tarot: free automated tarot card readings

Lotus Tarot's free automated tarot card readings are quick but don't really have a lot of substance. Lotus Tarot almost seems like the McDonald's Restaurants of the automated tarot card reading sites. The fact that it proclaims “over 23 million served” on the home page for the site likely adds to that illusion.

It is a workhorse, make no mistake, and that works best for a simple question that you're looking for a quick answer to. Like some other sites, there aren't many choices. There is one tarot card deck dealt into one tarot card spread: a six card universal tarot spread.

The site is pretty easy to navigate and aside from a brief (optional) request to register for an account, you get what is promised: a free automated tarot card reading. There is also some effort made to interpret each tarot card automatically according to its position in the tarot card spread. That's the good news.

There really isn't any bad news. I was just being theatrical. The automated reading you'll get is okay. It's not abysmal or wretched or bad enough to want to curse the site but the interpretations don't always translate easily within the card placements. It'll challenge a novice reader to make sense of it in context.

The tarot card deck used is attractive but basic and I really wish there were some options to change the spread. I did one reading which fell into the “okay” category and wasn't really interested enough to do a second one. Worth a try for sure but this site won't be bookmarked by me.
