Madame Lenormand's free automated tarot card readings are different. They don't use a standard Tarot card deck but a custom deck that was designed by Madame Lenormand or by one of her students -it depends on which story you believe- in the 19th century.
I am not all that familiar with the Madame Lenormand deck but have always found it to be a heady mixture of equal parts beauty and intrigue. As a result, I kicked the tires with this oracle more times than any other. Lucky for me there were no daily limits to usage!
That being said, I'm pretty torn with this free card reading service. On the one hand, it's a great opportunity to work with some different archetypes and a very unusual deck.
This was developped strictly for fortune telling so the psychological undertones of the Tarot are not -atleast to my way of thinking- as predominant here. As a fortune telling deck, you can get some pretty awesome specifics in terms of the who, what, wheres and whens of your life and that is obviously a major bonus.
I felt, especially on some of the longer readings, that I needed to know more about the cards in order to see the big picture, that I was missing context in terms of the interplay between cards and there was a formidable chasm of cluelessness gaping beneath this reading. Time for some homework!
With six readings in total, this Madame Lenormand tool offers a veritable feast of prophecy but don't be surprised if there seems to be a learning gap. I plan to brush up on the Lenormand cards and return to the site for round two and some more practice.
