1. Caring For Your Cards! Regardless of how you do it, keeping your cards in something that will protect them is good practice when first learning the Tarot. For beginners, you have a variety of options. Most Tarot cards come with packaging that you can continue to use. Some readers wrap their cards in fabric (commonly silk) or use boxes for storing their Tarot decks. You can use an embroidered taffeta bag or a plain cardboard box - choose what fits your aesthetic and budget and shows respect to your Tarot cards.


2. Act The Part! Regardless of your knowledge of Tarot, for beginners to give readings that rock, it's important to act like a professional reader. Okay, you may not know all the Tarot card meanings or be familiar with every Tarot spread. That's fine - every Tarot card reader has something more to learn. Treat your querents with respect, take the time to give the best answers and endeavor to learn as much as you can about Tarot. Treat what people tell you as being private and remember that giving people information via the Tarot, for beginners or experienced readers, is a responsibility.


3. Make Tarot a Priority. This doesn't mean that you need to put Tarot ahead of everything else in your life. What it does mean is that the Tarot, for beginners and others, needs to be consistent. Try to practice every day but make sure you don't overdo it. Have fun with it. Play with your cards, enjoy them, learn from them.
